Driftwood is a busy award winning café open 7 days a week from 9am serving fresh cooked-to order breakfasts, light lunches, tea, coffee, cakes and traditional Afternoon Tea.

We’re looking for people who can work in a fast paced environment providing a friendly service with a can do attitude

Various Weekend Positions (Kitchen Assistant, Kitchen Porter, Café Assistant)

Part Time Assistant Cook (16 hours Friday & Sunday)

Responsibilities :-

  • Cooking breakfasts to order
  • Preparation of light lunches to include homemade scones, quiches and soups.
  • Lunchtime service
  • Catering for Afternoon Tea
  • End of day clear down
  • To adhere to our guidelines on Health and Safety and Health and Hygiene
  • Deputise for Cook in their absence
  • Covering Kitchen Porter role when required

You must :-

  • Have experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Have an interest in food & an eye for detail
  • Have drive, energy & motivation
  • Be flexible and reliable
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Able to multitask and be well organised
  • Be able to work individually or as part of a team
  • Ensure Environmental Health standards are met
